Avocados are a subtropical fruit that have been grown in New Zealand since the 1980s. Te Mata Exports supplies the Hass variety of avocado which is sourced from growers in (add regions). These warmer regions are ideal for avocado production, as they are an extremely frost-sensitive fruit. Avocados are picked while they are still green and ripened post-harvest.
